2.5 Work Unit
Ø The working unit of the optical fiber distribution box includes the optical cable fixing device, the grounding device, the optical fiber splicing disc, the optical fiber connection and distribution device, the optical splitter, the pigtail connector parking area, the leather cable fixed area, etc.
Ø The splicing discs of different capacities and different manufacturers must be universal and interchangeable.
2.6 Functional Requirements
1 Fixing and protection function of optical cable
Ø When the optical cable is introduced into the equipment, there must be reliable fixing and protection devices. The fixed optical cable metal moisture barrier, armor layer and strengthening core must be reliably connected to the high-voltage protective grounding device. After the optical cable is stripped, a plastic sleeve or screw must be used. The tube protects and secures the introduction of the optical fiber fusion splicing device.
Ø The coiling and binding of the butterfly optical cable must be natural and straight, without twisting, looping, etc., and necessary fixing devices should be used to ensure that it is not squeezed by external forces and damaged by operation.
2. The termination function of the optical fiber core: The optical cable termination device of the equipment must be convenient for the splicing, installation and maintenance of the optical fiber and the optical fiber or the pigtail, and must have the storage space for the redundant optical fiber.
3 Optical fiber fusion splice protection function: All-optical fiber splice parts must be protected. After the optical fiber is spliced with the optical fiber, the joint part must be protected with a fusion splicing protective sleeve.
4 Applicability requirements for cable fibers: It must be applicable to the optical cables specified in GB, T 7424, the optical fibers specified in ITU-T G.652 and ITU-T G.657 or compatible with them, and YD, T 1997-2009 Specified butterfly cable for the access network.
5 Fiber adjustment function: The fiber serial number in the optical cable can be quickly and easily scheduled and the routing of the transmission system can be changed through the pigtail. The length of the pigtail must meet the requirements of the fiber adjustment operation.
6 Door locks: The door locks of optical fiber distribution boxes must be anti-theft structures with good anti-destructive ability. All boxes should be reserved for traditional padlock locks or other backup solutions.
